Thomas Bennett

Tom joined Edge Legal in 2025 in his final year of his Bachelor of Laws.

Alongside his work at the firm, Tom has been actively involved in advocacy and legal skills competitions, representing the University of Tasmania in several domestic and international competitions including the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the ALSA Championship Moot, where his team advanced to the Grand Final in the High Court of Australia.

Tom assists the team with a range of employment and workplace relations matters, including:

• Legal research and preparation of advice

• Reviewing compliance with modern awards and enterprise agreements

• Preparation of documents for matters before the Fair Work Commission

• Assisting with unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination matters

Tom has a particular interest in workplace relations disputes and advocacy, including in unfair dismissal and general protections matters.
